Why Mommy and Daddy Took Us to Cambodia

Maybe you are wondering why our Mommy and Daddy took us all the way to the other side of the world to Cambodia. The reason we are in Cambodia is to tell the Cambodian people about the love of Jesus Christ. If you don't really know about Jesus, would you please take time to read about how you can know Him as your personal Savior?

1. The Bible teaches us that God created us, and that He loves each one of us very, very much. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son..." (John 3:16)

2. The Bible also teaches that we are sinners. Sin came into the world through Adam many, many years ago, and so we are all born sinners. Whether it is lying, having a bad attitude, stealing, or worse, we all have a sin problem. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

3. Because God is perfect, He cannot have anything to do with sin. The Bible teaches that our sin separates us from God. The Bible also teaches that because God is holy, He must judge sin. Because we are all sinners, we are all guilty before God. The Bible teaches that we all deserve God's punishment- eternal separation from Him in Hell. "For the wages (the payment) for sin is death..." (Romans 6:23) "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire; this is the second death." (Revelation 20:14)

4. The Bible teaches that even though we are sinners, God still wants to have a relationship with us. So He made a way that He judge our sins and forgive us of our sins. He personally paid the penalty for our sins by coming to this world, living a sinless life, and dying on the Cross in our place. But He didn't stay dead; three days after He died, He rose from the dead, and is still alive. "But God commendeth (proved) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

5. The Bible teaches that if you will admit to God that you are a sinner, and from your heart trust Jesus Christ alone to save you from your sins, then you will be saved. This is a one time decision. When we stop trusting ourselves, and trust in Christ and Christ alone to save us, we become a child of God. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

If you do not know Christ as your Savior, would you please think about what you have just read? If you decide to trust Christ as your Savior, we would love to hear about it. We love you all!
